noisy banger anthems can't hide shitty mixing...

Just got back from PUSH POP. I had fun because i ran into some old friends and heard a few songs that i like and got some stress out on the dance-floor... but i couldn't help but notice one serious fundamental flaw about the party... ok i know i'm going to sound like a real hater but... THE MIXING SOUNDED LIKE SHIT! Don't get me wrong the DJ's had their moments, but there were too many REALLY noticeable mistakes about their mixing that i just couldn't ignore... it happened more than once and i noticed it with every DJ i heard tonight (except for the DJ's in the smaller room that were playing what i believe was tech-house).

I'm not going to front and act as if I'm the greatest DJ. I still need to work on my own mixing and transitions... that's why I've only been booked for one show in my entire dj'ing career :( lol
But if you're a DJ that gets booked on the regular, I'm assuming its because you know your shit. Most of the names on the line-up I had heard of and seen on flyers for other parties but this was the first time i had ever actually heard any of them DJ... and i was disappointed... there were some nice song selections but... ugh... it just sucks trying to dance to train wreaks. It might have something to do with the delay that larger sound systems give off... they probably would've been better off stopping one song completely and starting another.

I know its really hard to get up there and do your thing... so I don't want this to sound like I'm being a dick. And there were moments where i was dancing ridiculously and most likely making a fool out of myself and trying to have fun, but the best moments from tonight weren't in the main two rooms, it was the room with no music and people were socializing.

I'm sorry, but if i ever find a party with a line-up similar to tonight's, I'm not going... no matter how hip and underground it is...
